Who We Are

Welcome to my corner office ;) at ALEXANDER BANKOV INC, Beaver, PA. Here you found a trusted physician, consultant anesthesiologist and, hopefully, a friend.

Having graduated as M.D. in the Urals in 1984, I had a privilege to study and work with outstanding clinicians in Russia, Germany, United Kingdom and United States. It is my goal to share my knowledge, skills and experience to contribute to your healthcare needs in the professional and best possible manner. If you are a colleague looking for hands on help, vacation coverage or advice, if you or your relative is a patient seeking information or second opinion - I will do my best to help the way I would do it for my family. Having worked in different health systems in four countries, I believe there is a need to "reinvent the wheel" somewhat and return to personalized and individual care, where word of mouth is still the best advertising, albeit using modern communication technology.

My area of expertise is airway management, general, regional, cardiothoracic (incl. TEE) and obstetric anesthesia. I also have experience in medical education and international medical assistance. Research interests include monitoring of adequate oxygen transport during complex surgery and in critically ill, optimization of intravenous drug delivery, spinal anesthesia, airway management, mobile computing and telemonitoring in anesthesia.
